About Angiography

Angiography is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure used to visualize the inside of your blood vessels and organs of the body, with particular interest in the arteries, veins, and the heart chambers. This procedure is typically done on an outpatient basis, allowing you to return home the same day.

The procedure involves the insertion of a catheter into a blood vessel, and guiding it to the area of interest. A contrast dye is then injected through the catheter to make the blood vessels visible on X-ray images.

Angiography is used to diagnose and evaluate a variety of vascular conditions, including blockages, aneurysms, and other abnormalities. Early diagnosis and intervention can significantly improve outcomes and prevent complications.
